Ahmed Khan is a multi-talented Bollywood figure who has worked as a director, producer, writer, and choreographer in addition to acting. He is also referred to as a ‘Pappi King.’ He attended The Bishop’s School in Pune, Maharashtra, for his secondary schooling. He lives in a lavish flat in Mumbai’s Andheri neighbourhood.
Ahmed Khan is a fat and overweight man with fat cheeks who stands at about 5’6″ tall and weighs roughly 70 kg. His chest is big, his eyes are dark brown, his hair is black, and he has a clean shaved face.
Family, Caste & Wife
On June 3, 1974, Ahmed Khan was born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra, to his parents. He is an adherent of the Islamic faith. Bobby Khan, his brother and the ex-husband of Indian singer Sunidhi Chauhan, is also a director.
On February 7, 1998, Ahmed Khan married Shaira Ahmed Khan, a model and producer. His two sons, Azaan Khan and Subhaan Khan, are his children.
In the film ‘Mr. India,’ he made his acting debut as a kid artist (1987). In addition, he appeared in the film ‘Raakh’ (1989).
He worked as an assistant choreographer for the film ‘Anjaam’ in 1994.
He choreographed many hit songs for Bollywood films such as “Rangeela,” “Taal,” “Ghajini,” and “Kick,” among others. ‘Lakeer – Forbidden Lines’ and ‘Baaghi 2’ are two Hindi films he directed. His wife runs the production company Paperdoll Entertainment, which he founded. With his wife, he co-wrote and produced films such as “Paathshaala” and “Ek Paheli Leela.”
He has also served as a judge on dance reality series such as Season 3 of ‘Dance India Dance Lil Master,’ ‘DID Dance Ka Tashan,’ and ‘High Fever Dance Ka Naya Tevar.’
In the realm of choreography, he has received numerous honours and has been nominated numerous times. Filmfare Best Choreography Award for Rangeela 1995, Indian film dance director’s association award in 2012, Filmfare Best Choreography Award for Kick 2015, IIFA Award for Kick 2015, Southern India Cinematographer’s Association Award for Heropanti 2015, Indian films & television choreographers association award of appreciation in 2016, and so on are some of his accolades.
He dedicated his awards to his wife Shaira Ahmed Khan at various award ceremonies.
The Vice President of India also presented him with the ‘Indian Films and Television Choreographers Association Award of Appreciation.’
- He had a passion for dancing from childhood, and his mother persuaded her friend and choreographer Saroj Khan to hire him as an assistant director for the film “Anjaam” (1994).
- He had two tight escapes: the first was when he directed a film at the Twin Towers in the World Trade Center in New York just before the two days of the September 11th attack, and the second was when he cancelled his hotel bookings at the last minute during the 2004 Tsunami.
- Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan are two of his favourite actors.
- He favours the colours black and blue in his clothing.
