Terence Lewis was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on April 10, 1975 (age 43 as of 2018). He was a good student in school, but his parents couldn’t afford to pay for his schooling. To help pay for his studies, he began teaching aerobics to women. He wanted to be an actor at first, but after choosing to pursue dancing as a profession, he became a well-known choreographer. He is the first Indian to earn the danceWEB Europe Scholarship and to represent India in Vienna, Austria.

He was born to Xavier Lewis and Teresa Lewis, who come from a middle-class Catholic family. He is the youngest of seven brothers and sisters. His siblings are all older than him. His father worked at Modistone Tyres and his mother worked from home as a seamstress. His family came from Mangalore, Karnataka.
Terence Lewis had been in a live-in relationship with his partner for almost ten years. He ended his relationship due to his obsession with his work. After that, he began dating Sayantani Ghosh, a well-known television star. He is currently single.
Terence Lewis graduated from Mumbai’s St. Teresa’s Boys High School. St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai supported him with his senior secondary education in Microbiology. He used to do theatre while he was in school.
He received his hotel management diploma from the Institute of Hotel Management in Dadar, Mumbai. Lewis graduated from the University of Mumbai with a degree in Psychology and Sociology. In addition, he completed a Fitness Certification Course at Progressive Fitness USA’s Mumbai branch.
He received training in Jazz, Ballet, and Contemporary dance from the “Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater” in New York and the “Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance” in New York. He then began working as a choreographer, choreographing several Bollywood films including “Lagaan” (2001), “Jhankaar Beats” (2003), and “Naach” (2005). (2004). Terence, along with Ganesh Hegde, Vaibhavi Merchant, Saroj Khan, and Raju Khan, received the American Choreography Award in 2002 for his choreography for the songs in the film “Lagaan.” He’s also choreographed a slew of music videos, stage plays, commercials, national and international dance events, Broadway West End musicals, and feature films.
He participated in Season 3 of the popular reality show “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi” in 2010.
